Last week, Jonah Hill appeared on "Late Night With Jimmy Fallon." He talked about "Moneyball," of course, but he also told a story involving him and "Glee" star Matthew Morrison.
During the interview with Fallon, Hill recalled an encounter with Morrison at the Fox upfronts earlier this year, where each was promoting the shows they have on the network. "I've got it in my head that I don't like this guy. I am sure he is a good human being, but you don't throw a dude under the bus," Hill said. "He's a big timer at Fox and I'm the new kid."
On Monday night, Morrison responded to the controversy, with a wink and a nod, in a video message for Hill that aired on Fallon's show. The clip begins with Morrison telling a joke to group of people with Jonah Hill as the punch line. "Oh hey, Jimmy, what's up?" Morrison says to the camera after telling the joke. "I heard that Jonah said I should bring my sh-- next time. Well, guess what? This is next time. You think I can't sing my way out of this?"
Morrison begins dancing around the "Glee" set, with this message for Hill: "I can sing my way out of it and I can dance my way out of it. Pick a date and I will meet you on 'Late Night' and we will settle this like men."
As he shuffles his way around the set, displaying his musical theater prowess, he adds, "Be very afraid. Nobody messes with someone from musical theater. ... This just got real, man." However, it wasn't all threats. "Hey, can't wait to see 'Moneyball,' " he says with a smile at the end of the video.
