Amazon is emphasizing the reading experience of their full color titles, indicating that they all come with a ?beautiful layout and full color.? For select comic books and graphic novels there is even more attention to detail, as they will be shown in Kindle Panel View, which aims to preserve the panel by panel reading experience originally intended by the artists.
There are some device-specific updates as well -? iOS users get a new search tool that lets you search through the content you own by either author or title, and corrected an issue that prevented readers from looking up words on Google and Wikipedia. IPad owners are also being given a cleaner UI and smaller margins to help those of you who are easily distracted.
Android tablets get a new two-page reading in landscape mode, and all device no longer experience a nagging authentication bug that was requiring some users to sign back in each time they started the app. Tablet owner will also get more control over the margin size and line spacing, letting you customize the reading experience to your preference (and the shape and size of your tablet).
The new content is also available on the Kindle Fire, so we can expect to see a lot more color content to roll out in Kindle-land as Amazon looks to erase one of the differentiators that the Barnes & Noble Nook tablet still has over them.
